Working in partnership with our customers, to develop and manufacture innovative high quality PU mouldings tailored to individual project requirements for the Automotive, Furniture, Aerospace and Rail Transport industry sectors.

Production Operatives – On Line

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives, working on the production line as a team rotating in the various stages of the production of PU mouldings.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of health and safety awareness and able to understand written and verbal instructions. Please note the role requires the job holder to undertake repetitive heavy lifting.

Whilst full training will be provided for the role, experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment is preferable.

These duties involve working in close proximity with moving mechanical parts. Chemicals, for example isocyanates, are used in the production process.

Hours of work are: Monday to Thursday; 7.00 am to 4.00pm and Friday; 7.00 am to 1.00 pm (40 hours)

Trainee Process Engineer

To become Interfoam’s production manufacturing lead expert in helping us to develop implement, monitor and maintain the manufacturing systems and processes necessary to ensure product quality meet customer requirements.

The level of responsibility and task allocation will vary throughout the traineeship, depending on the current level of skills and knowledge, qualification being studied for, and demands of the post.

You will be expected to be flexible in the nature of the tasks allocated dependent on the specific requirements at particular times. As a trainee role, there will be an expectation to take on both routine and administrative responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity to kick start and further develop a career in manufacturing, which could potentially lead to an autonomous role in the future.

Training

This post is a trainee position. It is envisaged that the duration of the traineeship will be between 2 and 3 years, during which time you will gain knowledge and develop the skills necessary to become an effective influencer of both strategy and practice.

As a Trainee Process Engineer you will learn how the raw materials are used in the manufacturing process and how they eventually form the finished product.

Your role will develop as your knowledge of our business and products increases. Specific training will major on production related areas such as:

  • Machine operation / settings
  • Process optimisation
  • Material Properties
  • Quality Assurance
  • Equipment

Initially, during your first year you will spend time within various departments which support Production and some time will be spent with key suppliers. It is anticipated that formal training will follow, so a desire to learn and study is prerequisite.

Education / Attributes

  • 2/3 A levels including a science related subject
  • GSCE in English, Maths and a science related subject at grades C/4 or above
  • HND, HNC in mechanical engineering or manufacturing
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or a keen interest
  • Possess the drive and willingness to learn, with a ‘can do approach’
  • Problem solving skills - logical thinker

Management Trainee Health & Safety Officer

You will work with the Technical Manager to assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Company’s Health, Safety & Environmental management systems.

You will be expected to be flexible in the nature of the tasks allocated dependent on the specific requirements at particular times. As a trainee role, there will be an expectation to take on both routine and administrative responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity to kick start and further develop a career in EHS, which could potentially lead to an autonomous role in the future.

Training

This post is a trainee position. It is envisaged that the duration of the traineeship will be between 3 and 5 years, during which time you will gain knowledge and formal health and safety qualifications, develop the skills necessary to become an effective influencer of strategy and practice, and gaining relevant Health and Safety accreditation.

Your role will develop as your knowledge of our business and products increases. Specific training and development will be learning and understanding all areas of the business in how they operate along with formal training:
